Ced 7dc000f8ba Disable old rules in makefile and other cleanup ...

1) build_* now exit with an error message telling you what to do, this is
stage 2 of clean up

2) Fix the folding markers

3) reduce number of rm calls in clean targets

4) cleanup of spaces... to be more consistent
